Get set for our first Meet The Maker Wine Lunch!!! That’s right, this July we are changing it up in order to take advantage of the beautiful view from our upper-level dining room and our good friends from Teusner Wines are only too happy to be a part of it!

Imagine a long lunch paired perfectly with some of the Barossa’s most amazing wines, all to the back drop of the beautiful Palm Beach Reef. We’re even hoping to have some Humpback Whales cruising through by then!

Teusner Wines hold a special place in our hearts here at 8th Ave Terrace. Not only have they cemented themselves as one of the best producers in The Barossa, a couple of our team have personally had a hand in making some past vintages. In fact it was over several of these vintages that the owners’ Kym Teusner and Mick Page’s love of pork was discovered. A love that we have paid homage to in every course of this menu!

This time around Kym will be bringing some of his best drops to pair seamlessly with Head Chef Chris Harrington’s 5 course lunch menu and will be on hand to talk you through the history of Teusner Wines, their wine making philosophy and the processes that make their label a household name!

As usual, seats will be extremely limited so get in quick to make sure you don’t miss out!

Black Pudding with fried egg and quince

2nd Entrée- 2014 “Dog Strangler” Mataro
Braised Pork Cheeks with pickled squid, radish and miso

Main- 2016 “Joshua” Shiraz Granache Mataro
Crumbed Pig’s Tail with charred WA octopus & fermented black garlic

Dessert- 2009 “MC” Sparkling Shiraz
Red Wine Poached Pear, with chocolate mousse, almond cake & pancetta crumb
