On May 24th we get back in to the swing of hosting monthly Wine Dinners at 8th Ave Terrace. These are extremely special events for our whole team, giving us the opportunity to create a menu to compliment some of Australia’s and the World’s best wines, as well as a dining experience you’re not going to forget anytime soon.

This month we Meet The Makers from Dog Point in Marlborough in our upper level dining room. Chef Chris Harrington has created a four course menu to compliment four very distinct wines from the Dog Point range. Taste and talk through the process with wine makers Matt Sutherland and Murray Cook while Chef Chris
explains the connection between his menu and the many subtle qualities of these great New Zealand wines. Bookings essential as seats are limited!

On arrival – 2016 Sauvignon Blanc
Tasmanian pacific plate oysters with finger lime & ginger syrup

Entree – 2014 Chardonnay
Pan fried gnocchi with brown butter sauce and oregano pine nuts

Main – 2014 Pinot Noir
Slow rendered duck breast with duck confit cigar, duxelle purée, liver & charred onion

Dessert – 2014 Section 94 Fume Blanc
Selection of cheese with seasonal paste and stuffed green pepper
